Upon signing, each of your employees will receive a personalized call from our Telemedicine team welcoming them to the service! We’ll ensure your staff are registered in our system and that we have their basic medical details.
Any time your employees need medical care, they can contact our telemedicine team by phone or WhatsApp 24/7 – we’re always there.
Your staff will be able to receive the full range of medical services in our branches in consultation with our clinicians.
In case of laboratory tests, imaging, or prescription or over-the-counter drugs are needed, they are covered, with NO CO-PAY for your staff!

PHARMACY
In line with industry standards and cost reduction, Penda is pleased to offer a comprehensive range of high-quality medications. Original brands are available for an additional out-of-pocket price.
The comprehensive list of high-quality brands will be shared in a separate sheet. Please note, based on market availability and patient feedback, some specific brands may be subject to change, however, our commitment to you is to keep high-quality medications available for a wide range of conditions at no additional cost to your staff.
For patients who access Pigia Penda – Penda’s on-demand Telemedicine service – drug delivery within 2 hours can be arranged for a service charge of 199 KSH per delivery within Nairobi (there is no additional fee for the drugs).
EXCLUSIONS

1. Maternity care and related complications except ANC
2. Inpatient care
3. Infertility & Beauty treatment
4. Alcohol and substance abuse counselling and treatment
5. Alternative (acupuncture, homoeopathy etc) and herbal medicine
6. Treatment of injuries resulting from participation in professional and hazardous sports e.g. bungee jumping
7. Claims arising or associated with new Epidemics/Pandemics or unknown diseases – (Covid-19 assessment and treatment is included)
ADD-ON SERVICES ON A FEES
Utilization Reports
At the company’s request, Penda Health will send utilization reports to the Company for a pre-agreed annual fee.

Evacuation Services
Emergency ambulance from any Penda Medical Centre to a Hospital of your choice for an additional 2500 KSH annually per covered member.
Dental Care
Penda will offer one annual dental check-up and cleaning for an additional 4,000 KSH annually per covered member. Additional dental work will be performed at our low cash prices.

Q: My staff prefer to have a choice about what hospital they attend. What if they don’t want to go to Penda?
A: Penda has industry-leading customer reviews, ratings, and NPS scores. Our branches are available in Nairobi, Kiambu and Kajiado Counties. While some staff may have a preferred hospital other than Penda, we are confident we can win them over with outstanding patient experience and full coverage with no co-pays!
Q: What if my employees require specialty or inpatient care?
A: It’s true, this product does not cover specialty or inpatient care. For companies who can afford it, we believe it’s wise to couple this product with an inpatient cover which will have far cheaper premiums without the outpatient component. We also know that outstanding outpatient care can lead to reductions in inpatient and specialty care spending for you and your staff.
Q: What if I have employees who live outside Penda regions?
A: The Penda subscription cover is most valuable for staff who live in Nairobi, where our network is predominantly located. If you have some employees outside of these regions, we would recommend the Pigia Penda Unlimited Plan for those staff, and we would be happy to offer a discount when coupled with our membership plan for your employees.
Q: It’s impossible to pay the full cover upfront given our cashflow situation. Can you do instalments?
A: We can consider twice-yearly payments depending on your unique circumstances.
